Video Tracks
Cut, Copy, Duplicate, Bring to Front/Back, Split Audio Track
Audio Tracks
Cut, Copy, Duplicate, Fade In/Out, Generate Captions
Audio Fade & Layering
You can adjust audio fades directly in the timeline using the curved handles at the beginning and end of each audio clip. This provides a smooth transition for background music or voiceovers.
Inspector Panel
The Inspector is where all detailed editing in CopyCopter Studio takes place. It dynamically adapts to the selected layer type — whether image, video, audio, or text — and provides precise controls for motion, style, blending, captions, and AI generation history.
Layout & Position
Fine-tune your layer's placement and dimensions with pixel accuracy.
- Alignment – Snap to top, middle, bottom, left, center, or right
- Position (X / Y) – Manually set coordinates for precise alignment
- Dimensions (W / H) – Adjust width and height with an optional aspect-ratio lock
- Rotation – Apply custom rotation values or animate them over time
Animation & Motion
Bring layers to life using CopyCopter Studio's curve-based motion editor. Animations can be applied to position, scale, and rotation for both images and videos.
Controls
- Enable Animation – Toggle per-parameter animation channels (X/Y, Scale, Rotation)
- Easing Type – Select from Linear, Ease In, Ease Out, Ease In/Out, Spring, or Bounce
- Curve Editor – Create smooth or dynamic motion paths
Curve Editor
The Curve Editor gives total control over motion timing and pacing:
- Simple Mode – One smooth easing curve for organic transitions
- Multi-Point Mode – Add multiple control points to craft complex motion sequences (e.g., rhythmic bounces, subtle loops)
Keyboard Shortcuts
- ⌘ / Ctrl + Click → Add point
- ⌘ / Ctrl + Click (on a point) → Remove
- Drag to move points
Pro Tip
Mix Ease Out with a small Spring curve to create realistic camera movement or object drift.
Fill & Blending
Control the visual interaction between layers.
- Blend Mode – Choose from blending presets like Normal, Multiply, Screen, Overlay, Color Dodge, etc.
- Opacity – Adjust layer transparency (0–100%)
- Corner Radius – Round the edges of image or video layers for soft visuals
Video Settings
When a video layer is selected, the Inspector adds playback options.
- Playback Rate – Control speed from 0.5× to 2×
- Fade In / Fade Out – Smooth opacity transitions at clip edges
- Loop Video – Enable endless looping for animations or background footage
Audio Settings
For audio-only layers or videos containing sound, detailed playback and source controls appear.
Source
- Displays filename, duration, and file size
- Cloud icon confirms successful upload or library link
Controls
- Volume – Adjust output level (in dB)
- Fade In / Fade Out – Apply gradual start or end transitions
- Playback Rate – Modify playback speed and pitch
Pro Tip
Slow audio slightly (0.9×–0.95×) for a deeper, more cinematic tone.
Captions
- Caption Audio – Add or edit subtitles from an audio track, either generated automatically or written manually
Typography (Text Layers)
When a text layer is selected, the Inspector unlocks a full typography system for fine control over fonts, colors, and captions.
Typography
- Font – Choose from all installed or project fonts
- Weight / Style – Adjust thickness (e.g., Regular, Semi Bold, Bold)
- Max Font Size – Set an upper size limit for responsive scaling
- Line Height / Letter Spacing – Adjust text density and spacing
- Alignment – Left, center, or right alignment
- Direction – Horizontal or vertical text flow
Fill
- Opacity – Control text transparency
- Color – Pick base text color
- Highlight Color – Define highlight tone (useful for captions or emphasis)
Stroke
- Width – Outline thickness
- Color – Choose border color for better legibility over bright footage
Captions
- Page Duration (ms) – Defines how long each caption screen remains visible
- Max Lines – Limit line count for readability (e.g., 1–2 lines per frame)
Pro Tip
Use a slightly transparent black stroke on light footage to make captions pop without breaking visual flow.
Generation Info
Tracks every AI-generated step in your creative process — from the original prompt to modified versions.
Contents
- Current Version – Preview of the latest image or video
- Prompt – The text used for AI generation or modification
- Model & Style – Details such as bytedance/seedance-1-pro and rendering preset (raw, cinematic, painterly)
- File Info – Filename, resolution, and duration
- Version History – Expandable list of all previous generations with thumbnails and metadata
Allows comparison, reuse, or rollback to earlier outputs.
Pro Tip
Use this as a version log to track creative iterations or export prompt references for client documentation.
Canvas
The Canvas serves as the central workspace where you preview and interact with your project in real time. It visually displays all elements placed on the timeline, allowing you to position, scale, and animate media directly within the editing view.
The Canvas updates dynamically as you make adjustments to your project, providing immediate visual feedback for video composition, animation timing, and layer arrangement. It supports precise on-screen editing, ensuring that every visual element aligns perfectly with your creative intent.
Key Features
- Real-Time Preview – Instantly view changes made to your timeline or selected assets
- Layer Manipulation – Click and drag elements to reposition them within the frame
- Scaling & Rotation – Resize and rotate images or video clips using on-canvas handles
- Safe Zone Guides – Toggle overlay guides to ensure important content remains visible on all output platforms
- Aspect Ratio Display – Reflects the current project aspect ratio, matching export settings (e.g., 16:9, 9:16)
- Interactive Editing – Select elements on the canvas to access detailed animation and layout controls in the Inspector Panel
- Zoom & Fit Controls – Adjust your view using the zoom tools on the top toolbar for precise or full-frame editing
Tip
For best results, use the Canvas in combination with the Timeline and Inspector panels — the Canvas provides visual context, the Timeline manages timing, and the Inspector refines movement and styling parameters.
Asset Library
The Asset Library is where all your imported and generated media files are stored and managed. It allows you to organize, preview, and reuse assets across multiple projects for a faster and more efficient workflow.
Located at the top of the workspace, the Asset Library provides a visual grid of all your files, grouped by type. You can browse images, videos, audio files, and past exports, or upload new assets directly from your device.
